how to alter this flow for intended purpose

I have a flow i was assigned to look at that i did not build personally.  I was asked to make this flow require 2 approvers that can be selectable from a list (not have static two approvers incase of position change), both approvers have to approve that were selected.  Once selected the approval history is stored so it can be viewed who approved and when.  I am very new to power automate but willing to learn.  Provided is the 2 screenshots of the flow with redacted info

well the assigned to slot can also be filled with dynamic content so you can make an extra tag that is required where they can chose approvers from a list

or you can even say that it needs to be submitted for approval not automatic when its created then you can make them chose from a list you defined in the flow if they are asking for approval

this is dependent on how you want to manage the approvers.

no guarantee for this solution im still in the beginning myself

Is it possible to have it pull from a sharepoint list? so it still requires the 2 approvers to both approve

depends on what you mean does the user get to chose two from there or do you just want management to be able to edit them in case of position change?

if its the second option: Yes!

Where did you get that list dynamic content, cant seem to find it, as in what did you search for to find it?

Its called Get items in the sharepoint connector there you give them the list where it needs to pull the approvers from. (so you already need that list)

then you can set a new variable where you attach an email for each item in the list sepparated with a ; and this variable can then be put into approver mails.

is there a certain place in the flow i need to put this in?  tried putting it in the assigned to but that doesnt allow me to add the get items dynamic content

well you need to add the get items before the approval part and its not a trigger but thats it....  if you can put it somewhere else you can still use the odata and add it to expression but that shouldn't be neccessary

not sure if this is correct but i created a list in sharepoint then named the column approver email added the emails and named the list test 1.  Then i deleted the emails that were just typed out on the assigned to section then added the dynamic content approver email from the list i made. am i going in the right direction here?

yes! the only thing is you want to do is make an own variable before for the appover emails cause now you are starting an own approval flow for each person.  here try it like this

auf alle anwenden is just german for appy to each

approval.png

slowly looking more like what you posted, i didnt build this flow from scratch so it makes it alot harder to try to fix it

Understandable its pretty hard to start but it gets easier with time

now you need to get that approval out of that apply to each (suggestion if you cant drag and drop it out of there copy it to clipboard and insert it above)

ps: don't forget the ; in the appending to variable

thank you for the super fast replies by the way.

no problem glad i could help since i already did a similar flow

now you just gotta remove the second ; from the assign to and you should be finished

now the people can edit the sharepoint list and these emails will be used for the approval process

do i have to change anything else past that? it continues below the create approval (v2), Maybe change that first apply to each where is says "approvers"

not that i would know of this should all be fine the new approvers from the approval are set with given assigend to so everything fine

thank you ill test this out and see where it goes, ill post back the results when i get them

how do i get the selectable list of approvers? i added three on my sharepoint list how will it look when the approval is ran? since yours has a selectable list and my flow does not

ohhhh no those are two different flows of mine..... im sorry i didn't get that to work either.... i have it that i can either edit them in flow set them there and people manually have to choose of the ones i hardcoded in flow(and they actively need to request the approval) or it can take them automatically from a list.

i haven't gotten it to make a dynamic list where the user can then choose from....

tried testing and i got
