html styling

All,

So I have the create HTML table function and I understand how to do that.

I want to try and style the table that comes out I am needing a general style for the headings that allows me to pick a background color at say 25% or 50%, I need a style for the data which is generally a font.  The borders are to be solid black.

Ideally I think I need a VAR that has all of the above in and then get to a point where all I have to do is to put the output into the email.  I could however do this in the email.

Any help would be appreciated.
