"Link to Item" in my approval flow doesnt work

I have built a mulit layered approval flow. When the Approve or Reject options are chosen, an email is sent to the original creator of the file alerting them of the outcome. I have included a "link to item" in the body of these emails as well as in each approval email itself. The "link to item" works in each approval, and also in the email if you click it immediately upon receiving it. However the "link to item" stops working soon after in these emails.

This has lead me to believe the "link to item" works while the flow is running but as soon as the flow finishes the link breaks. The flow claims it runs successfully and it does other than the "Link to Item" not working.

Is there any reason why this would happen and how can I fix it?

Not seen this my self - but can you manually populate the URL say with does it get embedded as in the email if you view the source, or is it a redirect from flow?

Hi @User121 ,

Could you please explain more about the "but as soon as the flow finishes the link breaks" that you mentioned?

Best regards,

Thanks for the replies but I actually figured out my mistake. I was linking back to the library from which I had just deleted the file. I have now made an extra library, copied the file into this library and then changed the link to direct there.

Thanks for the help!
