"When a record is updated" trigger from Dynamics 365 runs on the records which was updated in past

Hi,

Currently, I am facing one issue in my flow, I have used  "When a record is updated" trigger of Dynamics 365 and want to send out email after that.

I had disabled the flow for doing some changes and enabled it once done. After that, I got so many emails of the records which were updated in the past(records were updated 2-3 days before).

The records were updated in the past, but still my flow ran on that records.

Has anyone experienced this issue earlier? If yes then, please explain to me why this happened?

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Yes, it is the expected behaviour.

Microsoft flow with trigger when an item is created or updated would continue to run when the flow is turned on if the flow is turned off before.

Hope the link belowwith the similar situation could be your referance:

Thanks @v-alzhan-msft  for this info.

can you please let me know for last how many days it stores the data. I mean if I turned off my flow for 1 month and again I turned on then it will trigger for all the events happened in that last month.

Hi @Anonymous ,

There is no any document explain about how many days the data would store so I couldn't answer you with this question.

Best Regards,

Alice
