sharepoint people column - no dynamic content

I am creating a sharepoint list item using an email that is recieved.  One of the sharepoint fields is a people field and I want to use the "From" address of the email to fill this field. In the image below, its called "Requested By Claims".

Unfortunately, when I click into the field, I'm not given the option of using any of the dynamic content that is fed from the email.  The other fields allowed this to happen, such as the "Title" field which is using the subject of the email.

anyone know how to use dynamic content in the people field?

Re: sharepoint people column - no dynamic content

Hi @Anonymous,

I have made a test on my side and please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a "When a new email arrives" trigger.
  • Add a "Html to text" action, the Content field set to Body dynamic content of the trigger.
  • Add a "Create item" action, within Requested By Claim field, select "Enter custom value" option as below:1.JPG

Then type the From dynamic content of the trigger within it.

Note: The Requested By column is a Person or group type column in my SharePoint list.

The flow works successfully as below:3.JPG
