store json to SQL insert row

Hello,

I am having troubles storing an inbound json into my sql db.

would I use a compose to call the json into the insert row into sql?

or

would I use a parse json to call the json into the insert row into sql?

Tried both, but missing a way to grab the raw json

thanks in advance

Figured it out by using compose.

What I did:

entered in

"@trigger().outputs.body"

this triggers out the full output of the json and allows me to now store the full json but call items that i was not able to call prior.

Hi jvb007,

Please try to use Parse JSON action. When using this action, you should enter proper Content and Schema for the JSON file.

Please check the part about Parse JSON action in this blog for a reference:

Please feel free reply if you need more help.

Tried Parsing, but there are two issue. is the limit of the allowed data to parse.

the 1st is that the data is limited to what i can select as the dynamic content

example:

I select the inbound feed that has an json (simplified)

{
	"Form": {
		"Id": "15",
		"InternalName": "internalname",
		"Name": "internalname"
	},
	"Entry": {
		"AdminLink": "https://internaladminlink.com/",
		"DateCreated": "2017-06-15T16:31:56.422Z",
		"DateSubmitted": "2017-06-15T16:31:56.422Z",
		"Origin": {
			"City": null,
			"CountryCode": null,
			"IpAddress": "10.10.10.10",
			"UserAgent": "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0"
		},
		"Status": "Reviewed",
		"Timestamp": "2017-06-15T16:31:56.422Z",
		"Document1": "",
		"Document2": "",
		"Document3": ""
	},
	"ForInternalUse": {
		"Status": "Rejected",
		"Reason": "reasonreject",
		"Notes": "notesinternal",
}

The dynamic content option will only allow me to choose specific data points:

form: id

form: internalname

form: name

Entry: adminlink

But these datapoints are not dynamic options

Entry:Origin:(anything under origin)

or

Entry: Document1

Entry: Document2

Entry: Document3

2. there is not a "body" dynamic option that would select all of the json.

it is also my understranding that schema only works with the content that is selected. so if i can not choose specific or all content, then the schema would not be any help.

I am having the same problem. But when I try to insert the whole JSON string it says the Gateway is offline. When I checked the gateway it is clearly online. I was wondering if someone can give me a hint of what I am doing wrong.

much appreciated
