update a sngle choice SharePoint field

Hi,

i am trying to update a SharePoint Item.

The idea is to get the items and then update a field based on the other fields and leave all the other fields unchanged.

Now i have the issue with my choice fields, as they are preset within update item action.

In case i use an empty string it clears the field.

I also tried to get the initial value into a string variable and write that back, but that creates some kind of "funny" values.

{"@odata.type":"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference","Id":0,"Value":"Linkedin pers"}

am i a missing something?!

or could i receive the Value from that string and write that to the variable?

Thank you for your help

Christof

Hello @Christof

You should have Dynamic content available for the Value already.

For example: I have a Choice field called Severity. Now I can Access the actual value by a Loop:

You will then update the item inside the loop. This should not cause any problems UNLESS your choice column allows more than 1 selection

there is only one choice, so that is not a thing.

How do you get to the "value" inside the loop?

If i add the field i still get the odata string
