what to use for flows when OneDrive is not an option?

Hi All,

So I created a bunch of flows using OneDrive, only to find out that OneDrive is not enabled for most users in the company (shame on me for not confirming this first).  Does anyone have ideas on what to use in the absence of OneDrive?  SharePoint I guess would be an option but not sure if has the same functions available.

thanks!

Roxann

This is still possible, just requires a little bit of a workaround.

After you convert the html to pdf in the "Convert file" action, add a new action to create a file in SharePoint. You'll want the SharePoint location to be accessible to anyone who needs to access the PDF. Add the site address, path, and create a file name and then pass in the "File content" dynamic content from the "Convert file" action:

This will upload the PDF to SharePoint.

I don't know exactly what your email action is doing, but using the "Path" dynamic content and a little bit of HTML in the email can send a clickable link to the file in sharepoint.

The "Path" dynamic content only passes though the Folder path (/shared documents) and the file name (/My Test File.pdf) so you need to pass in the full url to the SharePoint site like above.

What documents are you trying to access in OneDrive and what actions are you trying to run against them?

Sharepoint would be my next suggestion. It should have all of the same actions (if not more) as OneDrive. As a side note, anything stored in a Team within Microsoft Teams is in its own Sharepoint site. Meaning those documents can be access by any member of that Team. So if you and the company frequently use Teams, you may already have SharePoint sites setup.

Thanks @mattias1172 , It's a simple flow to convert html to pdf and then email, but I don't see a convert action available in SP, so without OneDrive enabled I think I'm toast.
