I am facing some trouble trying to use forms data to update excel rows.
Basically, I want to my flow respond like this:::-->
when some one enter data in microsoft form, responce should be stored in excel which is in sharepoint site.
Please give a solution if any one know.
Thanks in advance.
First of all, Why bother with Excel?
If you excel lives in SharePoint then why not update a sharepoint list with items. this will be a lot easier to implement and even easaier to manage. And if you are really keen on getting an excel spreadsheet at the end of the day .. simply export the list to excel.
Thanks Pieter for your response,
I need to conncet that data with Power BI,that is the reason I want to update the excel,
can we export the list to excel online in flow?
You could probably still connect PowerBI to a SharePoint list.
If you prefer Excel then the insert row action will probably do the trick.
Hi @ rangapbi,
Inserting row to an excel file in Sharepoint is not supported in Microsoft flow currently.
You could submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow,:
As @ Pieter_Veenstra said, Microsoft flow support to Insert row to excel file in services such as “OneDrive” , “OneDrive for Business”, “Dropbox”, “Google Drive” and so on as screenshots that @Pieter_Veenstra has provided.
You could consider store the Excel file in these available services (OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Dropbox and etc.) and then use “Insert row” action of Excel connector to insert data into Excel file.
