Hi there, i am trying to make filling out a long form as efficient as possible. I have a textinput control where users should input answers to questions in a gallery. I'm trying to minimize mouse usage and button clicks. I have set the tab index to allow the user to enter the answer in the textinput control then hit tab once to be on the "save and continue" button and push enter which progresses to the next question in the gallery. All that is working fine and is efficient however i would like something additional to happen when clicking the "save and continue" button. After submitting the answer and proceeding to the next question in the gallery I would like to actually select the textinput control again to all the user to just start typing without having to take their hands off the keyboard, grab the mouse and click into the box between every question. I've tried the select function to select the textinput control after pushing enter on the "save and continue" button however this does not actually allow the user to begin typing in the field and instead only seems to fire what is in the onselect property of the textinput control. Any ideas here, very cumbersome to not be able to hit enter then start typing again especially for longer questionnaires. I have thought about flipping tab indexes based on what control is selected to allow circular tabbing between the "save and continue" button and the textinput though i am not sure if this is even possible (haven't gotten this to work either). How do i avoid using the mouse in this scenario. Thanks!
I have attatched a image of what i am talking about.
