Ok, this has been keeping our teachers from using our PowerApp to scan students ID badges.
They are using Dell "Latitude" 7275 laptops with a 2nd webcam in the back.
As with other posts i found here, some have reported that the 2nd camera is flipped (horizontally).
The front camera (facing user) is fine, but the one behind the laptop monitor is flipped.
Even though the barcode scanner works with it being flipped horiz, the teachers won't use it until it displays properly.
This even happens in the PowerApps desktop studio as well.
While using Chrome Developer Tools, i have stumbled on a CSS issue that is causing the camera to flip.
On the video element for the "face front" camera, there isn't any "transform" property on it.
But the 2nd camera (in back) is set to: "transform: scaleX(-1)".
In the Developer tools, if you turn that property off, then the camera displays correctly!!!
Question is, can MS take out that property for the 2nd camera, or is it needed?
I think you should post in idea forum instead of here maybe:
