On my Surface Pro 4 (haven't been able to test with other devices) the resolution of images taken using the front camera with the PowerApps camera control appear to have been greatly reduced (images are now super-pixelated). I don't think this was always the case and the resolution has reduced sometime in the last few months - I don't use the front camera very often but I did experiment with it for OCR a few months ago, and it was fine, but now the images are so low res it is not possible for text to be read (by me let alone OCR).
The camera on my device is fine (other apps work OK).
Images from the rear camera (using the PowerApps camera control) are fine (much higher resolution than that from the front camera).
Has anyone else noticed the change?
@PaulD1, As far as I know there hasn't been any changes to reduce the camera quality but it's possible that this issue is related to a bug in the camera drivers in the surface (Nov 2018).
