Bug: Toggle Control

Hi,

I have recently come accross a bug with the toggle control which I would like to report. I have been able to replicate this bug in a reletivly simple example.

1. Create a collection

Collect(Collection1,
         {Name: "Anthony Phan", NightShift : false},
         {Name: "John Smith", NightShift : false},
         {Name: "Kevin Do", NightShift : true},
         {Name: "Aaron Oxford", NightShift : false}
)

2. Great a gallery with a label and and toggle.

3. Set the "Default" property of the toggle to the "NightShift" value

Default = ThisItem.NightShift

4. Set the OnCheck property asthe formula below to update the value within Collection1

OnCheck = Patch(Collection1,ThisItem, {NightShift: true})

5.Set the OnCheck property asthe formula below to update the value within Collection1

OnUncheck = Patch(Collection1,ThisItem, {NightShift: false})

Now if you click the toggle control it will behave as expected and change the NightShift value. However if you slide the toggle so that it is in the middle the control will start to toggle between On and Off as shown in the video. Furthermore if you toggle controls lower in the gallery the record will disappear as shown in the video.

Re: Bug: Toggle Control

Thanks for reporting this.

Seems to be a little trick for me.

Please change the NightShift name to some other string.

Doing it in this way stops the moving of the toggle from the first item in the gallery.

Regards,

Michael

Hi @v-micsh-msft,

I'm not sure what you mean by changing the NightShift name to another string as NightShift is a true/false datatype.

Agreed that it seems to be a trick, but I have had multiple app users complain to me that the app i developed in unusable due to this bug.

Re: Bug: Toggle Control

Modify the collection as below:

Collect(Collection1,
         {Name: "Anthony Phan", Night: false},
         {Name: "John Smith", Night: false},
         {Name: "Kevin Do", Night: true},
         {Name: "Aaron Oxford", Night: false}
)

Michael

Re: Bug: Toggle Control

Hi @v-micsh-msft,

Im not sure why changing the name of the column in the collection would make any difference. With that said, I did try you suggestion and the issue persists. Note I also had to update the default, oncheck and onuncheck properties of the toggle aswell otherwise changing the toggle position would not update my collection.

Re: Bug: Toggle Control

Thanks for the update.

I will explain a bit.

During my testing, the toggle would keep moving between on and off, and  it stops only after I modified the Collection.

Feedback will be send from my side.

Appreciate your patience and understanding.

Regards,

Michael
