CDM/CDS Entities Date field error: "Date field is not formatted correctly"

I have created some Custom entities and while I can "Patch" text values without a problem, I get an error when Patching Dates. The date portion of the patch command is

ExpDate : DatePicker3

The error message I get is "Date field is not formatted correctly"

I've set the field type in the Entity as "Date". Judging from the dates in the "Created Record Date" the Date Format in the Entity is MM: DD :YYYY

In PowerApps I had it set at "DateTimeZone.Local". My PCs date is set at MM: DD :YYYY

I have been using this with Sharepoint lists without a problem.

How do I resolve this issue, do I need to change Date Format iin the Entity, if that is the case, how do I do that?

Re: CDM/CDS Entities Date field error: "Date field is not formatted correctly"

Hi @UB400,

If you are using DatePicker here, then I think the date part should be in the following format:

ExpDate : DatePicker3.SelectedDate

For example:

Patch('111',Defaults('111'),{Date: DatePicker1.SelectedDate})

If we only leave the DatePicker1, then the error you mentioned should be popped out.

For more information, please see DatePicker control in PowerApp:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/control-date-picker/

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to post back.
