Can no longer group elements when Screens is in tree view

I'm using the PowerApps Web Editor on my Mac v10.12.6

Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

In Tree View

I can no longer group elements when using control + left mouse click

I can only group elements by selecting the elements on the canvas or by switching to the preview view.CanGroup.png

Re: Can no longer group elements when Screens is in tree view

Hi @KC

What do you mean by "I can no longer group"

I was able to select multiple items by holding ctrl + left mouse click in the Tree View using Chrome or Firefox

Re: Can no longer group elements when Screens is in tree view

Hi MartynasJurkus,

I'm not sure when this changed but

I used to be able to hold down the control button then left click individual elements  in Tree view of the Screens panel to select them for grouping, now a context dialog pops up with Copy, Delete and Rename but it will only allow you to select one element at a time.

I can still however select each individual element on the Canvas, it was easier to group from the Screens panel, due to the fact that you can't lock elements on the Canvas. Which if you have a lot of elements you could accidentally select an element by mistake.

Thank you

Re: Can no longer group elements when Screens is in tree view

Hi @KC

This is still posible to do and this is how I do it.

Maybe you can post a screenshot where you are unable to select few emelemets from the tree view?

Here is what I did:

1. Click several items in the tree view while holding Ctrl

2. Right click and select group.

Re: Can no longer group elements when Screens is in tree view

This used to work for me as well but now each Control + left mouse click produces a new popup and deselects the prior selected element and No Group option is available.

Hi @KC

Can you try to plug a different mouse? It could be that your mouse is bad and left click is producing right click.

Hi @Anonymous,

Finally recieved a brand new mouse but the behavior is the same.

It's probably some setting on my Mac that was changed, I'll keep investigating.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Can no longer group elements when Screens is in tree view

Hi Mark,

I changed the mouse but no luck. I'm still unable to select multiple elements from within the tree view itself, but I can at least ctrl+left or ctrl+right click , or left click then drag the mouse to create a bounding box to select multiple elements at a time on the canvas. The dialog still pops up but I've learned to work around it until I can find a solution.

If you use the left click drag technique, the popup does not appear but some unintended elements may get selected in the bounding area.
