Cancel button on Model driven app form

Hello,

I have a model driven app that has a main form where all user creates requests. The system has already generated two save and save/close button on the form. I wanted to add a cancel button.  But currently, I did not find anything as such on web. Can anyone confirm if it is possible to add a cancel button on form else is there an alternative for this.

Thank you,

Deevya

Re: Cancel button on Model driven app form

 Hi @DeevyaAskoolum ,

Do you want to add a custom button within your Model Driven App?

I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs. Customizing a button within Model Driven app is not supported in PowerApps.

I suggest you express your views about adding this function on PowerApps Ideas Forum. Your precious feedback will be very helpful for our work.

As an alternative, I suggest you embed a canvas app inside model driven app.

Because in canvas app, you could set button's action based on your demands.

Here's a doc about how to embed a canvas app inside model driven app for your reference:

Re: Cancel button on Model driven app form

Hello Phoebe ,

Thank you very much for the update.

I will post this as an idea on the Powerapps ideas forum .

I think it would be very helpful if the cancel button can be added on Model driven app form itself instead of building another canvas app and then embedding it on the model driven app. This creates more complexity and requires more development work.

Hoping Microsoft considers this as idea and add this as a feature.

Again, thank you Phoebe

kind regards,

Deevya
