Change SharePoint List to Powerapps

Can you create a PowerApp from a Sharepoint list and then change the SharePoint list that orginiated the app? I created an app from a list and would like to change the list while keeping the app functioning and working instead of rebuilding the app.

Re: Change SharePoint List to Powerapps

Hi @DCI_18 ,

Are both lists have the same column names with the same column types? Yes or not, it is always not recommended to do so. As this is easy to cause a lot of errors. Why not creating a new one with the new list? Creating an auto-generated app with SharePoint list connector is much more easier and quicker.

Re: Change SharePoint List to Powerapps

Hi @DCI_18

If this is a standalone PowerApp that generated from a list then yes.

Go to data source, remove the old list reference and add the new list reference and then setup the links within the app accordingly

App checker will guide you to fix errors if any
