Column Chart labels don't display properly at runtime

Hi,

I have a column chart that displays Production values by week.  In the Y axis label I want to show the seek starting date. The Week starting date is  in an integer field called DateFilter (so that i can filter by date). So I want to display the DateFilter field in the Y Axis. I Set it up on the chart properties like this:

Capture.PNG

It looks great when I play the app in  the editor:

Capture2.PNG

But when I run the app  in a browser or on an iphone it shows some kind of index instead of the DateFilter:

Capture3.PNG

Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Column Chart labels don't display properly at runtime

hi @RussellGove,

Can you share a bit more about your issue?

Can you show me the error info about your issue?

I have made a test . there’s no issue on my side.

I created a SP list . datafilter column is an integer field.

Please check if datefilter field has been changed

Please take a try to re-create your app, then check if the issue is solved.

Also please consider take a try to store the Date value in your data source using Date type column instead of Integer type column, then check if the issue is solved.

Re: Column Chart labels don't display properly at runtime

Hi,

I am trying to recreate the problem in a standalone app, but i can get the 'Labels' field to display. The old app shows this for the properties of the chart:

Capture.PNG

But when I create a new app and added a chart to it to chart some static data i see this:

Capture2.PNG

The 'Labels' field is missing. How do i get the 'Labels' field back?

Re: Column Chart labels don't display properly at runtime

Hi ,Yes my data source did change an the label has in fact moved to the bottom of the list.

I created a new screen in my app and added a bar chart to it.

I added a button that does  the following:

ClearCollect(
real,
ShowColumns(Sort(
Filter(
'[dbo].[myTable]',
Category = "M" And Heading ="SomeValue"
),
StartDate
),"DateFilter","ProductionValue")
);ClearCollect(
fake,
{
DateFilter: 20180601,
ProductionValue: 8465
}, {
DateFilter: 20180701,
ProductionValue: 9269
}, {
DateFilter: 20180801,
ProductionValue: 9091
}, {
DateFilter: 20180901,
ProductionValue: 9537
}, {
DateFilter: 20181001,
ProductionValue: 9838
}, {
DateFilter: 20181101,
ProductionValue: 9382
}, {
DateFilter: 20181201,
ProductionValue: 1154
}
)

I collect the real data from the database into a collection called real, and the exact same values, only hardcoded  into  a collection called fake.  When I view the collections they are identical:

fake.PNGreal.PNG

Only difference is that fake uses hardcoded values. I then added a toggle to my screen and had the chart display either the fake values or the real values depending on whether the toggle was set.:

chart.PNG

Now, when i run the app and set the toggle to use the fake values it works:

useFake.PNG

But when i toggle it to use real data  it does not work:

useReal.PNG

Seems there is a Bug in the way the chart handles SQL Data.
