Could OCR capabilities be coming to SharePoint libraries?

I may have just stumbled onto something interesting but have limited time for further investigation - perhaps others can pick up the trail...

I have a SharePoint library which is being populated by PowerApps via a Flow and contains primarily jpg files. When I create a link to the library in MS Access there is a hidden column called MediaServiceOcr of datatype LongText. I don't recall seeing this field when linking to libraries before. Currently, this just contains an incrementing number.

Looking for info on the web for MediaServiceOcr there were very few hits but I did find the following link - could this be some incomplete documentation? It says '© 2018' at the bottom.

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/microsoft.sharepoint.client.mediaserviceupdateparame...

Maybe some kind of native OCR service is going to be added to SharePoint?

I know there are 3rd party OCR solutions, but I think this would be a nice addition to SharePoint libraries.

What do you think?
