Hi,
I'm trying to add Gallery and Forms control in a scrollable screen.
However, the Gallery and Forms always added outside the Canvas component, so it will not be scrolled.
Is it possible to do that?
Best regards,
Ari
Solved! Go to Solution.
No, that's not possible. Galleries, forms and the scrollable canvas cannot be added inside each other (*). If you believe this should be supported, consider creating a new feature request in the PowerApps ideas board.
(*) you can insert a gallery inside another gallery; but you cannot have a gallery inside of a gallery that is itself inside of another gallery (3-level nesting). Forms and scrollable canvas cannot be nested, nor can contain galleries.

Thanks for the clarification.
I've also posted this idea in ideas board: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/Insert-Gallery-and-Forms-component-into-Scrollab...
As Melindak said, you can insert a Galley into a canvas by a simple cut/paste operation !
- create a scrollable screen
- insert a gallery (which will be outside the canvas)
- cut the gallery (ctr+x)
- click on the DataCard I want the gallery to be in and paste (ctr+v)
Using this method... the Gallery and Data Card must share the same Data Source. If Gallery has separate Data Source, I cannot figure out how to display data in the Gallery. The Data Card Data Source seems to over ride the Gallery.
Any ideas on how to make this happen?
Thanks
Ari,
How did you embed the .gif?
Yeah, maybe that's why we can't do it in a "normal" way.
I didn't continue working on this approach because I'm afraid that there will be any issues with the 'unofficial' method.
Hmm, not really sure how I embeded the gif. I think there was an option to insert image.
Hi Eric,
Did you get a way to insert the gallery into a data card ?
I have been trying to do the same inorder to prevent my gallery from floating on the screen, while the rest of the form scrolls vertically.
Any guidance would be greatly helpful !!
Thanks & Regards,
Rahul
Hi @rahulvartak.
You can insert a gallery into a form control by adjusting the height of the Data Card where you want the gallery to be. Then insert the gallery into the individual Data Card.
Hope this helps
