Data from one record carried into empty field of next record

I'm using a typical gallery to select a record then navigate to screen 2 to view/edit the record. The data is saved with a Patch if connected to the Sharepoint list, then back to screen 1. BUT when I select the next record on screen 1, the data from record 1 is repeated in empty fields of record 2.

Screen 2 is not an edit form (when I first got into Powerapps, a video used a blank screen and basic textinput fields - I like the ability to determine where fields are arranged).

I've tried UpdateIf statements for each field when the Sharepoint list is loaded to be sure they are empty, not null.

I'm stumped.

Re: Data from one record carried into empty field of next record

Hi @scottj62 ,

Could you please share a screenshot about your screen2?

Do you use basic Text Input box controls to display the List Item record you want to edit within your screen2?

Further, could you please share a bit more about the formula which you used to bind the Text Input box to fields of the selected item from your Gallery?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please take a try with the following workaround:

Set the OnSelect property of the Gallery or OnSelect property of the "Navigate" icon within the Gallery to following:

Set(CurrentSelectedItem, Gallery1.Selected);
Navigate(Screen2, ScreenTransition.None)

Or

Set(CurrentSelectedItem, ThisItem);
Navigate(Screen2, ScreenTransition.None)

Within your screen2, set the Default property of the TextInput1 to following:

CurrentSelectedItem.Column1

set the Default property of the TextInput2 to following:

CurrentSelectedItem.Column2

set the Default property of the TextInput3 to following:

CurrentSelectedItem.Column3

...

...

Set the OnHidden property of the Screen2 to following:

Set(CurrentSelectedItem, Blank())

Please take a try with above solution, then check if the issue is solved.
