Our SharePoint has millions of items in it, so it's important that I get the delegation right. I've read that both StartsWith and EndsWith are delegable functions, which is great, but I get delegation errors when trying to apply these functions. Specifically:
Delegation warning. The highlighted part of this formula might not work correctly with column "Folder path" on large data sets.
If I remove that part of the filtering, I get the same error but with "File name with extension instead". Here is my formula:
Filter( Documents, StartsWith( 'Folder path', "Shared Documents/Signatur_App" ), StartsWith( 'File name with extension', TextInput_ProjectNumSearch.Text ), EndsWith( 'File name with extension', ".xlsx" ) )
Does anyone know if the delegation will work, even with the errors? Or is there a way to fix them and still keep all the functionality?
As far as I know, if you are fully respecting delegations, then it will works despites of the warning. But in your case, the folder path and file name with extension may fall into the complex types of sharepoint and so, may not be delegable (contrary to text type)
