Dynamics 365 Connector N:N relationships

Not sure if I am missing something or if it is a known limitation by I can't seem to view or edit N:N relationships in a PowerApps Canvas App, has anyone had any experience with this? Will I need to create a custom connector to query the Dynamics Web-API?

Re: Dynamics 365 Connector N:N relationships

Hi Pete,

I'm not sure if this will help but I've been having an issue with N:N relationships in Flow and read this article, which has at least helped retrieve the table:

https://www.sikich.com/insight/how-to-find-n-n-relationships-with-dynamics-365-logic-apps-and-flow/

Perhaps you could use Flow to provide your data source?

Re: Dynamics 365 Connector N:N relationships

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the info, I have since done a similar thing with a Azure Function as I also needed to create them.

Re: Dynamics 365 Connector N:N relationships

Thanks for the vote, Peter.

I'd certainly be interested in how you managed to do it - it's still a requirement for us and my understanding is that it's not possible with Flow at the moment. The workaround is to create a custom Entity for the N:N relationship (manual N:N) and then Flow allows you to create records.

Cheers,

Matt

I will try to write a blog post on it in the next few days and I will post it here for you.

Sorry I have been busy moving house the past few weeks, so I have not had a chance to write a full blog post, but please find this quick version I posted in Github to get you up and going in the meantime: https://github.com/pete-mc/D365CreateManytoMany
