Elephant in the room

Love you guys, but I gotta ask... Where are interactive maps on the PowerApps roadmap? I just downloaded and read through the 2020 roadmap, no mention of maps anywhere.

This is literally the ONLY thing missing in PowerApps. Static .png's with pins are not adequate.

We need:

  • Ability to drop pins
  • Ability to view things on a map
  • Pan, zoom, etc.

Where are interactive maps in terms of longterm PowerApps vision?

Re: Elephant in the room

Hi @timl . Good point. Looks like PCF is now open to canvas apps. Back when I looked into it, was model-driven only. Its got some serious complexity to it, but may be worth another visit.

Thanks for the idea.

Re: Elephant in the room

Good question Eric. Maybe @TopShelf-MSFT could ask someone on the team to comment?

It's possible that this doesn't appear on the roadmap because hopefully, this is something that we could build with component framework.

With this example, we'd just need to work out how to drop the pins and to retrieve the long/lats.
