Error message when record exits

I have a powerapps linked to a SharePoint list. I will like to know if it is possible to alert the user that record exists when they enter the name in title (before they click on the save button). I thought there might be a way were I am able to configure an error mesage below the textbox that makes a search to the SharePoint database.

Any suggestions?

Re: Error message when record exits

@RezaDorrani I attempted this formula but was not successful.

If(LookUp('Vendor Management', Title = DataCardValue3.Text),"Item Exists","")

Re: Error message when record exits

Hi @alex3

You can query the sharepoint list to check to see if the title already exists

You could use Lookup(DataSource,Title = <user entered text>) and check if the response isEmpty or not and accordingly display the message

Try

If(IsEmpty(LookUp('Vendor Management', Title = DataCardValue3.Text)),"",Item Exists")
