Level: Power Up

Estimated time to set up notifications via SMS

Hi. First time on here. We have an Office 365 license and have discovered Power Apps - complete newbies.

We don't know whether to develop a simple app ourselves or use a freelancer.

We need to create the simplest app possible and the only features would be:

1. Ability to filter our client base by school and class

2. Send SMS notifications per class.

Sorry for asking this kind of question but we need to develop quickly and don't want to waste time.

Re: Estimated time to set up notifications via SMS

Hi,

To determine whether PowerApps can meet your requirement, you need to clear a few things:

1. Where is your school and class information stored? If the connection is available in PowerApps data sources list here: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/connections-list/, then it is possible to filter in PowerApps using Filter function https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/function-filter-lookup/.

2. You can connect to Twilio, and send an SMS message from your app.
