Export / Import Package - Only Imports First Screen

I created a template for my organization and my plan was to export this template then distribute it so others could then Import the package as a starting point to build their PowerApp canvas app from. I ran into what I believe to be a bug in that when you import a package that was previously exportect, the newly imported version only has the first screen.  All other screens go away.

To reproduce

  1. Create a canvas app with multiple screens
  2. From the Apps menu, select the canvas app and click "Export package".
  3. Now reimport the package giving it a new name.
  4. Open the newly imported package
  5. Only the first screen exists.

I found a work around, using "Save As" to create a copy to begin from, but I thought I would report the bug since the export/import package feature is currently in "preview"

Re: Export / Import Package - Only Imports First Screen

Thanks for reporting the issue. I am glad to see you find a workaround. I just tried export and then import the app file and able to see all the screens in my app, not just the first screen. Can you please help provide repro steps? Also, just curious, does the environment you created the app in has CDS?

Re: Export / Import Package - Only Imports First Screen

The steps to reproduce are in my original post.  I tried again this morning and had the same result:

To reproduce

  1. Create a canvas app with multiple screens
  2. From the Apps menu, select the canvas app and click "Export package".
  3. Now reimport the package giving it a new name.
  4. Open the newly imported package
  5. Only the first screen exists.

I am using Chrome in case that matters.

The app is connected to an on-prem SQL server through a gateway.
