Facing issue while using the "export" control, Giving the data source as "BrowseGallery1_1.AllItems" (BrowseGallerry1_1 is the list view) which is getting populated from on premise SQL data source.

On clicking the export button facing the error "There was problem exporting your data" with the current session id only.

Re: Export to Excel from ListView

Hi Siva,

When you add the On-premise SQL data source, could you show all the data on a gallery or other controls?
How do you configure the Export control? Do you set the Data property of the Export control to the data source you have added?
Do you try to use another data source for a test?

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Re: Export to Excel from ListView

We are using only 4 columns out of 8 to show in the listview. And we tried giving data source as full table and as I mentioned in the question above (data source as "BrowseGallery1_1.AllItems")

Is there any constraint in the Export data functionality that we have to show all the columns ?

Thanks for the help 🙂

Re: Export to Excel from ListView

Hi Siva,

What is the column type of the columns that cannot be shown? Per my test, it seems that it is related to column type, such as Choice, Lookup column cannot be shown in the Export data.

About setting the Data property of the Export control, set its to the data source would be OK. If you configure it to DataSource.ColumnName, then only the column you selected would be shown.

Re: Export to Excel from ListView

We tried setting the data source as Data property to export button but still facing the same issue. Also tried with the Share point data source but were unable to download the data.

Can you please share your sample project with me ?

Re: Export to Excel from ListView

Hi Siva,

Here is a SharePoint Online list I created. I use it as a data source of my App. “CountryDescription”, “CountryDescription2” are Lookup column type, column “Choice” is a Choice column type.

Country1.PNG

In the App, I add an Export control and configure the Data property as Country1. Then when I click the button, I would be asked to fill a File Name and specify the destination to store the Zip file.

Then I add an Import control to upload the exported data. I configure the OnSelect property of the control as Collect(ImportCountry1,Import1.Data). Then all the data would be shown in the Collection, except the Choice column and Lookup column.

If you have any problems, please feel free reply.

Re: Export to Excel from ListView

Did you get this working?  I am unable to even export the simple demo Product tutorial.

I get the same error: "there was a problem exporting your data"

1. I create a button to collect the Product data:  On Select = ClearCollect(Product, {Name:"Soap", Price:"30"}, {Name:"Powder", Price:"20"}, {Name:"Cream", Price:"50"})

2. I create a button to export the data (Data = Product)

3. I click the button to populate the collection - this works and I can see the data in the collection.

4. I click the export button and receive the error

Is there something I am doing wrong?
