Filter Dropdown Based on Previous Selection

Hello all,

I have a Powerapp with two dropdowns. "Region" and "Asset". When a region is selected in the "Region" dropdown, I'd like the "Asset" dropdown to only show the assets found in that region. My filtering is working, but I get a delegation warning that the filter might not work on large data sets. I think the answer is to set a variable, but I'm so new to using this program that I'm not quite sure how to do it.

Region dropbox set to: 'Region List'

Asset dropbox set to: Distinct(Filter(Assets_Regions, Region.Value = DropdownRegion.Selected.Value),'Asset Name')

Region OnSelect needs to be set to what?

Re: Filter Dropdown Based on Previous Selection

Hello @erferme,

You may need to set the variable as you suggested. Before doing that though, please note that the Distinct function is most likely not delegable so you may not be able to use it. Please check the following page for more details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/delegation-list
