Filter dropdown based on multiple lookup field

Hello,

I´m not sure if this is possible, maybe someone can heltp me 🙂

I have a list A with 6 items, the field is a Text field. Then I have list B which has 12 items.

Then I have created a lookup field in list B that allows multi value, from list A.

So List B looks like this.

Text       |    Lookup Field to List A

-----------------------------------

Item1    |   Item1(A);Item2(A)

Item2    |   Item2(A);Item4(A)

Item3    |   Item1(A);Item2(A);Item3(A)

Item4    |   Item3(A);Item4(A)

...and so on.

In the App i have 2 DropDownBoxes. Lista A is DropDown1 and List B in DropDown2

I would like to filter DropDown2 based on the value i chosen in DropDown1. If i chose Item1 in DropDown1 then i only will see Item1 and Item3 in DropDown2.

Is this possible?

Re: Filter dropdown based on multiple lookup field

Hi @Bergur

You can use the below expression on the "Items" property of the second dropdown:

Filter('List B',Dropdown1.Selected.Title in LookUpFieldName.Value)

Here, you need to replace the highlighted part with the name of lookup column.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Filter dropdown based on multiple lookup field

Hi @Bergur ,

Is there only one single type column existed in your List A?

Do you want to filter your Dropdown box 2 based on the selected item in your Dropdown box1 (connects to List A)?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:

Dropdown1.Items:

Distinct('List A', TextColumn) /* <-- TextColumn represents the Text type column in your List A */

Dropdown2.Items:

Distinct(
             Filter('List B', Dropdown1.Selected.Result in LookUpField.Value),
TextColumn /* <-- TextColumn represents the Text type column in your List B */
)

Please take a try with above formula, then check if the issue is solved.
