Going from adding item directly to editing it

Is there a way I can have a form go directly to edit the item it just created?  The concept may seem strange, but without the ability to do a lookup to a Google sheet like Sharepoint that was my thought to remedy it.  Essentially submitting the student's id number to pull up their name and verify it before continuing.

Re: Going from adding item directly to editing it

Hi @Tech08,

May I know why you need to seperate the step? You can edit the whole item first and then submit it using the EditForm. Not quite sure why did you have this requirement. Can you help explain?

The concept was basically have the staff member enter in the student's id and then have it submit to pull the student's name from the Google sheet so they can verify the student.
