Group multiple items in a collection to submit as a single item in a SharePoint List.

I have created a collection that has the list of my items. On Submission, it submits the items individually into my SharePoint List. However, i would prefer that the items are grouped as one and submitted as a single item in my SharePoint List.

Any ideas with this?

Hi nchinaxs,

This would depend on the structure of your list.  What are the columns in the list?

Kind regards,

This kind of only works if the items in your gallery have a source that is identical to the SPlist.

If it is identical, then you can simply:

If it is a simple Add all Items in the gallery in one single call

OnSelect:

ClearCollect(TempCollection, RequestCartGallery.AllItems);Collect(SPList,TempCollection)

Putting everything in a temp collection allows to to reverse the Collect

If not, and you want to update existing we can talk further.

If not, and you have differring data structures, we need to talk further.

Hi @nchinaxs,

Question: Why do you want it in one item?

What you want is possible but complex. You need to put it in some kind of structure (XML/JSON). And then comes the next "problem": How do you get the info out?

When using a shopping cart solution, you should ask yourself if you want SharePoint at all. SQL Server would for me probably be the better tool. Also a parent/child setup is needed.
