HTTP XML Request / Response to JSON

I am working on a Power App project that needs to connect to XML interface.  I am using Postman to export the collection file to be used to create a Custom Connector, but Power Apps does not allow me to import the json collecton file. I assume Power Apps does not allow this because it's not JSON request/response.
To resolve, I am considering to create a web service to that will translate the requests/responses from XML to JSON and vice-verse between Power Apps and XML Interface. (see below)

I am seeing if anyone has another solution to this issue or if my solution will not work or?Capture.PNG

Re: HTTP XML Request / Response to JSON

Hi @tkerkman,

Yes, you are right, currently PowerApps will only handle the OpenAPI file in JSON format, see:

  • A PowerApps account.
  • An OpenAPI file in JSON format, a URL to an OpenAPI definition, or a Postman Collection for your API. If you don't have any of these, we'll provide guidance for you.

Reference: Register and use custom connectors in PowerApps

To have your Scenario work, the Coversion Web Service should support RESTful APIs.

For XML file format support, please consider submit this as an idea.
