Hiding Field in edit form based on certain values from a text input

I am trying to hide a certain text field in my edit form based on another text field. Basically If this one text field has either investments or bank saved in it's field I want another text input to not be visible on the edit form.

I tried this

If(AreaOfInterest_DataCard4 = " Investments", true, false) but it was saying = was wrong so I tried

If(AreaOfInterest_DataCard4 in "Investments", true, false) and still was wrong.

I placed this code on the visible part in the edit form on the field that I wanted to be visible on certain conditions.

Re: Hiding Field in edit form based on certain values from a text input

I think the problem is that you are doing your IF at the level of the data card.  The value you are testing is actually stored in a value control inside the data card.  I don't know what your specific naming is on your fields, but I think what you want is to place something like the following in the Visible property of the data card you are trying to hide, where DataCardValue3_1 is the Text field in the AreaOfInterest_DataCard4 data card.

If( Find("Investments",DataCardValue3_1.Text) > 0, false,true)

Note: Find is case sensitive
