How does collection function and delegation works on a Sharepoint list with item level permissions

Hello,

1. I want a collection in the app to load only the items user has access to and therefore I have set the SP list with item level permissions set to created by user(read, write and edit). Will that work ?

2. Will using filter on a people picker field in conjunction with item level permissions on SPO list help me enable the users to load more number of items within the delgation limit(i.e. doing fitering at the datsource level with the help of item level permissions).

Thanks

Re: How does collection function and delegation works on a Sharepoint list with item level permissions

Hi @appbot ,

1. Yes. PowerApps does not change the permission setting of the data sources. That is to say, you will have exactly the same permission in PowerApps for SharePoint list. If you can only see the items created by yourself in SharePoint list, then you will see the same items in PowerApps. So this will work.

2. On the condition that users can only have the same permission from SharePoint list in PowerApps, you can Filter these avaiable items with person and group column to show less items.

Mona
