How to create a pop-out window after I click one of option in the Gallery?

Hi Guys. I made a Gallery with some products. Now I want to create a new pop-out window which is in the same page instead of a new screen after I click the gallery. In the pop-out window, there will be 4 icons and click each icons to navigate the releated screen. I know there is a template named prodcut showcase, and it got pop-out function. But I cannot understand the function UpdateContext({pop1:false, pop2: true}), Because there is no "POP" function, and there are none of screen named in pop. How did it work? How should I do for create the new pop-out window?

Re: How to create a pop-out window after I click one of option in the Gallery?

Hi

PowerApps does not have those widget like Pop-up function.

We need to code ourselves.

For pup-up, please use UpdateContext & set the object.Visible with a Context Variable.

Example:

- Insert an Object, say a Label (with some text inside) or Icon

- Label.Visible = showup (if can be anything you want)

- Icon1.Visible = showup

- Icon2.Visible = showup

Gallery.OnSelect = UpdateContext({showup: !showup}) ...... ! means negative. (so when showup is true, it wil change to flase on second click, and so on and so forth).

This means: when you click on the gallery, it will make the Label/Icons "Visible, and click again, "InVisible".

You can make full use of UpdateContext, with many different context variable.

Playaround with it, please.

have a nice day.

TQ

Hi

I guess maybe your PowerApps language needs you to key in differently?

Please check if UpdateContext({showup: true}) with any error? If no that means correct.

Sometimes, different country or database use

- ;

- ;;

Please have a check.

You do not need an "=" before UpdateContext. I think that is what the error is saying.

Thanks Man!   It inspired me.

Well. Updatetext is like create a various.

But when I trying to use this, it always mention me the grammer is not right. Check this out.2017-07-19_23h05_38.jpg

Updatecontext should create a various directly. Why it still told me the showup in an unvalid name?

I have done I am used another trick
I am set a variable value = 1 and this value behalf Show and Hide Data card

and there I use close button and after I am again the value change of variable

May by it will help

Visible (Datacard): If(variable = 1,True ,False) and Hide all other datacard
