How to show saved values in textbox in new session

Hello

I have a label with text property: If(ShowSavedValue, ThisItem.Student1, Concat(Combobox1.SelectedItems, NAME& " " & FIRSTNAME, ",")) The data is coming from a combobox selection.

The values remain for the current session, Smiley Happy but when I close the app and reopen it the label box is empty again, even though the data is saved on the datasource.

How can I show the saved data in the textbox when I open a new session?

(I've given up trying to set the default values on the combobox)!!

Thanks

Re: How to show saved values in textbox in new session

Hi @Englishweb ,

How do you set the ShowSavedValue variable within your app?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, it means that -- when the ShowSavedValue equals true, it would retieve the saved Student1 value from your data source, otherwise, it would retrieve value from ComboBox selections.

If you want to load the saved Student1 value from your data source into the Label box, please make sure the ShowSavedValue is true when you loaded your app.

I have made a test on my side, please consider take a try with the following workaround:

Set the OnStart property of the App to following:

Set(ShowSavedValue, true)

Set the Text property of the Label to following:

If(
ShowSavedValue,
ThisItem.Student1,
Concat(Combobox1.SelectedItems, NAME& " " & FIRSTNAME, ",")
)

Please consider take a try with above solution, then re-load your app (fire the OnStart property of the App), then check if the issue is solved.
