Issue with PowerAPPS inserting Controls

It seems that PowerApps has an issue with inserting controls into a canvas screen when that screen was built from data.  If I have a screen that was built from data automatically and I want to change a control that was used, you used to be able to simply delete the old control, hightlight the datacard and then insert a new control and it would be added into the datacard.  That no longer happens.  Now the control is inserted into the screen but not into the datacard.  To get the control back into the datacard you have to do the following:

1.  Delete the old control

2.  Insert the new control

3.  Drag new control into the area of the datacard.  This will cause errors to appear.

4.  Select the datacard and go to advanced properties and unlock it so you can edit the formulas.

5.  Updated the formulas to reference the new control.

6.  Highlight the new control.

7.  Cut the new control so its removed.  You must use cut not delete.

8.  Highlight the datacard you want the new control inserted into.

9.  You can either right mouse click inside the highlighted datacard and select paste, or go to the Tree View for the datacard you want to insert the new control into, click on the elipses on the right and select paste.

10.  Your new control is FINALLY added to the datacard.

It should NOT be THIS hard to change controls.  You should be able to simply delete the old one and insert a new one.

You will have to first unlock your data card

Select data card , then in properties unlock card

Then insert your control

Re: Issue with PowerAPPS inserting Controls

just select the datacard before inserting control

Re: Issue with PowerAPPS inserting Controls

That does not work.  You select the datacard and then do insert control and select your control and the selection of the datacard goes away and it inserts at the top of the form.
