I'm connecting to an on-premise Oracle database through the gateway server. Withing Power-BI I get a neat Navigator window and I can select the correct tables. There are quite a few tables in this database, mind you.
When I connect in PowerApp through the gateway I only get the tables until the "C" and no further. See attached picture. Also when I use the search, the tables further in the alpabetical order are not shown.
I have a suspicion that the number of tables shown is capped out at a certain number? Is this suspicion correct? Are there any solutions to this?
Love to hear if there are any workarounds or tips to learn about preventing these kinds of issues.
Quite a few I'm afraid, but according to the PowerBI navigator tehre are 486 preceding the "CTT2" part of the database source. We count exactly 512 that are visible; all tables after that are not. Suspicion is that it's capped-out at 512?
@v-monli-msft: We dropped the Oracle User with the first letter "A" and many tables within our test database and the other tables became visible. So, it must be a capped-out on number of tables issue.
Ofcourse it isn't a viable solution that we drop an Oracle user in our productio database, but for development it is fine. We perhaps could see if we can dabble a bit with setting the gateway to access only a certain user, but we haven't figured out that part yet. I hope this extra information is useful for you guys to further improve the product and we can get stuff into production soon!
