LoadData for Forms

I'd like to use SaveData and LoadData to save progress if interrupted while filling out a form. How do I get the saved data loaded into the form?

  • OnSelect property of Save Button:
    • ClearCollect(entireForm, {every_field_in_form : every_field_in_form});
    • SaveData(entireForm, "savedForm");
    • Set(fileWasSaved, true)
  • OnVisible property of Edit Screen:
    • If(fileWasSaved = true, LoadData(entireForm, "savedForm", true), NewForm(<form_name>))

I think this will load the "entireForm" collection with the data saved, but since the form has a different data source... i'm stuck.

Thank you very much

Re: LoadData for Forms

Hi @ericonline,

One Form could only have one data source binded, so I think this cannot be achieved so far.

You could post this idea in the PowerApps Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.

Re: LoadData for Forms

Thank you for the reply. If the form did only have one data source, how do I LoadData from a SavedData collection into the form? When I execute LoadData, it doesn't populate the form fields.
