I have a main form and a sub form. They are linked to each other. The main form has a TL_NO and this TL_NO is saved in the subform as a field automatically and that is how the link works. After submitting the subform, you are redirected to the subform and you have to select the form ID of the subform through a multi select field in the main form. The problem is, when I submit my main form, only the first value of the multi select is getting saved and not the others. So for instance a main form has 2 associated subform records, the submitform saves only the first subform record for the mainform. Ive set my drop down for the subform ID as follows:
Filter('Grease Trap', 'Trade_License-Number' = Value(DataCardValue46.Text)) where
'Grease Trap' is the data source of the sub form
The Update property for my combo box datacard in the main form is as follows:
Do you mean that the multiple lookup field only save the first selection of the combo box?
The reason why you met this problem is that the formula that you use in the combo box's Update is used to update single lookup field. The LookUp function only returns the first record that meets the requirements.
I suggest you try this formula in Update:
Filter( Choices('Grease Trap'.lookupfieldname), Value in DataCardValue60.SelectedItems.GT_Reference_ID)
If you use " DataCardValue60.Selected", it will only return the combo box's first selection.
Only if you use "DataCardValue60.SelectedItems", it will return all the selections of the combo box.
