Nested Filter in Powerapps

Hi There,

I created a canvas application , where i want to filter something like below

Set(ActiveRelatedCase,Filter(EntityA, "test" in field1));

Set(ActiveRelatedReg,Filter(EntityB, "test" in field2));

Set(Final,Filter(ActiveRelatedReg,ActiveRelatedCase.fieldn in fieldp)); Note: Here fieldp is from EntityB, fieldn from EntityA

In the above line system throwing error , Invalid argument type, cannot use table value in this context.

Re: Nested Filter in Powerapps

Hi @rtb360test1 ,

Can you share more details with your apps?

Is there any error shown in the formulas?

Have you ever tried to put these formulas on Button's OnSelect property to check if it works?

In my test,  the formula works well, it can collect all records that meet "Value in Column"condition to the collection.

It would be better to figure out the issue if you can post more details.

Best regards,

Sik

Re: Nested Filter in Powerapps

Hi @rtb360test1 ,

PowerApps doesn't support to logic of "ColumnA in ColumnB" yet, it should be as "ValueA in ColumnA".

However we can use ForAll function to traverse ColumnA to judge if each items is in ColumnB.

Please modify your third formula as below, and check if your issue is fixed.

ForAll(ActiveRelatedCase,If(fieldn in ActiveRelatedReg.fieldp,Collect(myCollection,LookUp(ActiveRelatedReg,fieldp=fieldn))));Set(Final,myCollection)

Best regards,

Sik
