Nested gallery fields do not show content

Hi,

Something is not working anymore, as it did one week ago?

I have a nested gallery:

  1. Gallery with CDS source : filter on one CDS text field (TextItem1) based on a search text field (TextItem)
  2. Gallery, within the first Gallery, with Sharepoint library source: filter on text field (TextItem2) based on TextItem1.Text

Searchfield=TextItem

Gallery1 : DataSource=CDS entity, Filter CDS Entity on TextItem.Text

TextItem1 = CDS text field   (Visible = false)

   Gallery2 : DataSource=SPO Library, Filter SPO Library on TextItem1.Text + Height base of Countrows(Gallery2)

TextItem2 = Sharepoint Library text field

     SPOfields ..

Filtering of Gallery2 (SPO) is working fine, number of records in Countrows is correct

Problem: the fields of SPO in Gallery2 do not show content? (since 2 weeks?)

Strange: When I change the Filter function into a Seach function it is showing the contents !? (with delegation issue)

Does anybody know why?

Thank you,

Lex

Re: Nested gallery fields do not show content

Would yo please share the proper formula under the Gallery2 items property?

Are you using " = " within the Filter () function?

Instead, switch the "  = " with the StartsWith() function within the filter, see if that would make any difference.

StartsWith( TextItem1, TextItem2 )

or

StartsWith(TextItem2,TextItem1 )

I suspect the issue here might be related to the field type definition. There might be spaces added with the TextItem1 field.

Regards,

Michael

Re: Nested gallery fields do not show content

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply.

Items property in nested gallery is now: (because we are live)

If(Len(txtSDocSearchCode.Text)>0; Search('Pilot Plant Quality System'; txtSDocSearchCode.Text ; "PADocSearchKey"))

'Pilot Plant Quality System' = SPO Library

"PADocSearchKey" = SPO text column 30 chars

txtSDocSearchCode = text label in PA in parent (next higher) gallery

Result: all items shown

Items property nested gallery is was:

If(Len(txtSDocSearchCode.Text)>0; Filter('Pilot Plant Quality System'; PADocSearchKey=txtSDocSearchCode.Text))

Result (tested again): no items shown

Note: that there are no spaces in het SPO FLOCsdocKey field. This is a 'normal' all character SAP asset code.

Now tested:

If(Len(txtSDocSearchCode.Text)>0; Filter('Pilot Plant Quality System'; StartsWith(PADocSearchKey;txtSDocSearchCode.Text)))

Result (tested again): no items shown

Working fine again when I put the 'search' line back again in items.

Re: Nested gallery fields do not show content

Did PA Staff look into this problem yet?  ... Hope you can help me solve this PA issue.

Problem for me is now that Search finds more files: e.g. "A4" gives result in "A4.14" and in "A4". Filter with '=' would only come with exact results. Locate will not help me either, because there are more files with the same search code.
