Offline Capabilities and PenInput

I think this needs a little re-evaluation.

I'm using SaveData/LoadData not for offline use but in order to preserve data should the phone battery die, app is exited mistakenly etc etc..

This works flawlessly except for PenInput.  Due to the fact that it is stored as a blob and not RAW data.

Which kind of defeats the object in this knid of scenario:

We fill out a form, get a client to sign.  The users phone then dies before changes can be synced.

We now have all data, including camera images as these are saved as Raw data, but we lose the signature.

So powerapps is NOT fully offline capable as per the documentation and i feel this needs review and the peninput converted/stored as either Binary or Base64 instead of as a blob.

Re: Offline Capabilities and PenInput

Thank your for your valuable suggestions.

It is recommended to submit a feature request regarding the PenInput usage (which I think should be a similar situaiton for the Add Picture control) in Offline mode:

Or let me know if you prefer to move this post into the Idea category.

Michael
