Pen input

I have not found any good resources for extracting the pen input (Signature) so that I can either store it with the other information in SharePoint.

I see some people have used Azure blog to get there images, so I am currently looking into that to see if I can do the same with the pen input. If anyone has a good way to accomplish this goal I would like to hear about it.

Re: Pen input

An easy and multi-purpose solution is found to add pen-input to Sharepoint/Email/PDF by utilizing the addition of a PowerApps Json functionality added on 02/05/2019.

The Short description on how to make this work is to save the pen input image in a JSON format asking the JSON function to include Binary Data:

Set( PenVar, JSON( PenInput1.Image,JSONFormat.IncludeBinaryData ) );

Re: Pen input

Hi @msmith,

The Pen Input control could be saved into Excel first, and then be transfered to other data sources, see the document for more details:

How to save images in an Excel fiel, and then add these images to your App

Another workaround is to use the Microsoft Flow to convert the data, see the following blog for the detailed steps:

How to Save Signatures from PowerApps to SharePoint lists
