I have a grid in Power BI that is pulling from a large customer database. I am trying to drive a clean-up effort of the customer database. Is it possible utilizing Power Apps to add a status column to the grid view in Power BI so that users could keep track of their notes in Power BI without exporting the grid to excel? The report in Power BI tracks other efforts surrounding the customer database and was looking for a way to show a customer has been reviewed along with other tracking metrics without floating a bunch of one off salesperson spreadsheets around. Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks
Hi @Anonymous,
For your Question:
" Is it possible utilizing Power Apps to add a status column to the grid view in Power BI so that users could keep track of their notes in Power BI without exporting the grid to excel? "
No, I don't think this is possible for PowerApps to achieve that currently.
PowerApps would work with the DataSource directly, or working with the DataSet within Power BI.
If the Grid View is the DataSet in Power BI, then PowerApps currently could add rows to it, but not able to add additional columns.
For Visuals under Power BI dashboard, there is no way to work with the data directly using PowerApps.
You may take a look at the blog below for Power BI and PowerApps:
