PowerApp with read-only connection to SQL Azure

I'd like to create a PowerApp that links to a SQL Azure database and ensure that the user credentials specified in the PowerApps connection only have read-only rights to the tables. Are there any best practices for setting this up? Should I create a user in SQL Management Studio and only grant them read access to the tables? I'm new to SQL so if someone could provide steps on how to accomplish this it would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Pete

Re: PowerApp with read-only connection to SQL Azure

The rights to the SQL database will be dependent on the rights given to the connection account used in the SQL connector.  For Azure the connector will only accept a SQL account.  So create a new SQL login and assign that account ReadOnly access to the Database you want to use as the datasource. Then when creating your connection use that account.
