Hello
Please be so kind as to read my full post before responding.
Thank you for your consideration.
The PowerApps App (3.19073.14) on my Android (8.1.0) device (Google Nexus 6P) seem to completely ignore the rotation settings of my phone.
It seems to switch automatically to Landscape mode if the phone is rotated even if Auto-Rotate is disabled.
It seems to only take the rotation sensor into account.
Hence, a random shake of the phone lying on my table might trigger an unwanted swap to Landscape/Portrait.
A workaround seems to be to install "Rotation Control" and use "Portrait (Sensor)" or "Landscape (Sensor)" modes.
As a consequence responsive layout (i.e. automatic resizing and rotation) PowerApps on Android are uncomfortable to use unless "Rotation Control" is installed.
PowerApps with fixed rotation/orientation in the App Settings work as intended.
This is not useful for responsive layout, as custom layout Apps are treated as Landscape Apps with fixed rotation.
I don't think we can ask all our responsive layout PowerApps users on Android to install an additional, useful, but otherwise completely unrelated App.
We don't have the issue on iPhones.
Lock screen orientation from the quick settings seems to work.
Here are some screenshots of PowerApps itself changing screen orientation to whatever even with Auto-Rotate in the settings disabled on my Android 8.1.0, Nexus 6p, PowerApps 3.19073.14 device.

Hi @SaWu ,
Can you check on other Andriod devices to see if the issue could be reproduced? It seems that this is specific to this phone and please try to reinstall the PowerApps application to the latest version to test.
Regards,
Mona

So, NO, this is not specific to only one phone.
It appears to me as if this a feature of one of the newer PowerApps Android App versions.
And, yes, I tried re-installing and updating etc, still my phone rotation settings get ignored.
Thank you,
Sa.
Hello
Since I am afraid that this is the "intended" behaviour of the PowerApps on Android, I have submitted an idea to get rid of this nonsense.

Thank you,

Hello @v-monli-msft ,
Have you seen my reply?
This annoying issue can now be reproduced with all our Android devices.
Could you at least forward this annoying "bug" to someone from PowerApp staff?
Thank you,
Sa Wu.
