PowerApps with SharePoint Online with export of excel

Hi All,

I have a requirement I have PowerApps based on SharePoint list data with two start days and a couple of drop down.

User will analyze the 2 date ranges (for e.g. Jan 2018 and Dec 2018) depending on the values of the dropdown in a data table.

This data has to be exported to Excel within PowerApps.

I saw some useful links

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Creating-Apps/how-to-export-data-from-powerapps-to-excel/td-p/14...

its uses Excel Connection, Collect(), Patch()

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/how-to-export-data-from-powerapps-to-excel-by...

Any Suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Re: PowerApps with SharePoint Online with export of excel

Hi @sandy_791,

Can you please tell more details about what you want to achieve with these 2 data sources(SP list and excel)? You can show/edit data from SharePoint list in Form control, and then use Patch function to save the data in this form control to Excel table data sources. You need to Patch the controls inside the Form control to Excel. About Patch function, you can refer to:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-patch

The Patch formula could be something like:

Patch(Table1,Defaults(Table1),{Column1:DataCardValue1.Selected.Value,Column2:DatePicker1.SelectedDate})

This formula will add a new record to Table1. DataCardValue1 is the dropdown control name and DatePicker1 is the date picker control name inside the Form control.

Regards,

Mona
