Rename Data Source

This is so annoying. Is there anyway to name the datasource other than the default Table1, Table2...ETC. Unless I can, I have to go back through all my code and change it.

It should be the same name as you table. Can you change the name of the table on the backend and try to import again?

As shared by @mayuro, the table name is queried from the datasource side.

I suspect the Table1 is from an Excel file stored under OneDrive for Business, please take a look at the following article for table re-naming within Excel:

Other datasource table, such as Common Data Service entity, SQL Server table, PowerApps would load the 'table' Name defined within the corresponding Data source. There is no direct way to change the table name within PowerApps.

If your Datasource is an Excel Spreadsheet, it will automatically generate Datasource names like Table1. 

You need to override this in Excel.

Excel has two ways of naming ranges of cells: as "ranges" and as "tables". PowerApps uses the latter. 

PROCEDURE:

1. Go into Excel

2. Select your data

3. Click on Format as Table (or just click on one of the Table Styles under the Tables Ribbon tab)

4. On the Tables tab, click on Rename

5. Give your table the name you want to see in the PowerApps DataSource (in the example below, I used MyPowerAppsData)

6. (Optional) Rename the Sheet at the bottom to the same name so it's easier to locate later.

Do not use the Excel Ranges naming feature.

 I have named my tables in my workbook, then moved the workbook to my OneDrive, but PowerApps Connections still shows "Table1", "Table2", etc.
